How do joint virtual sessions work if we are in different rooms?

Our HIPAA-compliant video portal allows multiple participants to log in from separate locations if needed, provided everyone is physically located in TX, NM, or WA.

Can couples therapy be combined with individual medication management?

Yes. If one or both partners require individual psychiatric evaluations or medication management, those services can be integrated into your overall treatment plan.

What states must participants be located in during appointments?

All participants joining a session must be physically located within Texas, New Mexico, or Washington during the appointment.

Is joint therapy appropriate for families with teenagers?

Yes. We help families with adolescents improve communication, manage behavioral challenges, and establish supportive home dynamics.

How many sessions will we need?

Session frequency is tailored during your initial evaluation based on relationship goals, communication needs, and clinical guidance.

Insurance, Billing & Policies

Does health insurance cover couples and family therapy?

We directly bill major insurance networks, including Aetna, Cigna, Regence, UMR, GEHA, Optum, Oscar, Oxford Health Plans, UnitedHealthcare, and Evernorth. You are responsible for any applicable copay, coinsurance, or deductible at the time of service.

What happens if we need to cancel or reschedule our visit?

We require at least 24 hours’ notice for cancellations or rescheduling. Late cancellations or no-shows incur a fee that cannot be billed to insurance.

How do self-pay rates work for joint therapy?

Self-pay clients receive a transparent Good Faith Estimate outlining all costs prior to scheduling under the No Surprises Act.

Can we receive therapy if we are not legally married?

Yes. We welcome all couples and non-traditional family structures seeking communication and mental health support.

What should we do in a crisis?

Telehealth is not for emergencies. If anyone is in immediate physical danger or experiencing thoughts of self-harm, call or text 988, call 911, or go to the nearest emergency room immediately.
